It was a great Festival Meeting last night - really positive.
Plans for this year's Pub Race are now well underway, with a new start - the Prince Regent.
The route is then via the Railway, Bell, Kings Arms, White Hart, Red House, Harvest Home and finishing at the Sports & Social Club.
All the pubs are donating beer for the entrants while some are putting on some special events.

Other news is that there are plans for a grand award ceremony where funds from the events will be distributed to this year's 'Good Causes'. Mark Sunday 30th August in the Diary now. This will make up part of the full Bank Holiday weekend of activities at the Sports and Social Club, including the Whitstock/CAMRA Beer Festival.

And don't forget the next event - the Crowning of the Queen on the Meadow on May 2nd. As well as traditional MayPole Dancing there will also be a 'mobile laboratory' where the results of activities such as pond dipping can be examined in detail
